Kristóf Bacsó, one of the leading saxophonists of the middle generation of Hungarian jazz, has recorded six albums as a composer and bandleader for BMC Records, but he also plays a decisive role in our country's number one contemporary big band, the Modern Art Orchestra. We can also hear his playing on several other records, such as the Different Garden album marked by the names of Gábor Winand and Gábor Gadó.
The influence of his acquaintances at Berklee determines his artistic career: he visited the Opus Jazz Club with Francesco Guaiana, toured with David Dorůžka and Albert Sanz, gave a concert and recorded a record called Pannon Blue with Lionel Loueke, and now – as a direct continuation of this – the unusual seven-string he completed his trio with Daniele Camarda playing bass guitar.
His own compositions on the Imaginary Faces album will be framed by a Satie and a Bartók arrangement.
