David Hanke - Turion (2022)

A turion (from Latin turio meaning "shoot") is a type of bud that is capable of growing into a complete plant. A turion may be an underground bud. Many members of the genus Epilobium are known to produce turions at or below ground level.
This album is about underwater life, submerged forests, hibernation, solitude and innervision. Influenced by a botanik almanach, a German children's book called 'The Little Watersprite', the love for nature and being in a cottage in the wilderness near a lake. It took eleven months to create this album from late November 2018 to early October 2019.
No, it's not film-music for an imaginary film (that's always a disparagement of any music), it is the story itself, told with music. You just have to close your eyes and see what happens. The pictures are inside of you.
