MOSQUITO is a jazz quintet that was 'born' more or less by accident with our friends from 'Taste of Jazz' in Deventer. The collaboration between the musicians went so well that it was decided to continue as a permanent formation. The repertoire focuses on various programs that honor the greats of jazz. In the spring of 2022, Mosquito entered the studio to record the album "Blakeyish", an ode to the genius and music of Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers.
