Distilled from years of experience playing the small out of the way clubs in New Orleans, The Kings of Funk bring fresh life to some classic party songs. This is in essence a tribute to the legendary house parties hosted by band leader Ted Graham which brought together some of the greatest names in New Orleans music in all night jams in the classic Crescent City style. Over the years Ted and the other guys have worked with Eddie Bo, Irma Thomas, Ernie Vincent, Ernie K-Doe, Marva Wright, Timothea Beckerman, Oliver Morgan, Jessie Hill, Freddie King, Wilson Pickett, Johnny Adams and many, many others. They work now to keep the classic sound of New Orleans R&B and Funk alive and kicking to be enjoyed by everyone from the old timers that remember it to new young audiences discovering it for the first time.
