Some of these songs date back 15 years, the themes that pop up are about order and disorder, nature colliding with a binary modern world, hence the pro-oxident. Embracing rust, decay, entropy instead of fighting it.

John Frum Spitzbergen plays around with cargo cults and cultural appropriation, mashing the tribal with the arctic and beyond. The music has influences rooted in post-punk ambience, with echoes of Talking Heads' Remain in Light, 23 Skidoo and ACR.

LRDG's creator, Tim Brown started musically in the early 80s, spending time in a band alongside Mark Darby of Mighty Force. Brown is also a writer, authoring the bestselling book, 'Unhappy Medium'.

The music is cinematic in tone, soundtracks for a half remembered movie, the by-products of accidents, happy or otherwise. We like to call it Tech Noir.
