The term "fantasy" sounds rather non-committal in the world of music. It is a form of composition that began its life 500 years ago on the delicate lute and has steadily evolved. "Fantasy" serves as a title for a piece that doesn't quite want to be categorized, unlike a "sonata" or "fugue." And one might spontaneously associate the spirit of romanticism, imagining artists who give free rein to their musical thoughts and call the result "fantasy".
On her current solo CD Claudia Schellenberger presents rather less known representatives of the genre "Fantasy" from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods and thus from three epochs that are particularly important for her instrument, the piano. A "fantastic" journey! Claudia Schellenberger gives successful concerts in Germany and abroad and has won prizes at various piano competitions.
At the age of fifteen she became a student of Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and after graduating from high school she studied at the conservatories in Hanover, Vienna and Frankfurt. Her CDs have been honored with the "Supersonic Award", among others.
