If you love powerful brass and passionate music this disc is for you. The trombone and tuba are front and center. The percussion is bright and flashy. The sound engineers hit a "homer" on this one! I believe it is the most powerful renditions of these works I've listened to and I have Reiner's CSO Marche Slave(which is also excellent it just doesn't have the sound technology of this disc). I really don't know much about this conductor or orchestra, but I will say they must have been on when they recorded this. Highly recommended. J. Moffatt
