Four Flies continues to shed light on the little-explored universe of Ezy Minus (the moniker of composer and multi-instrumentalist Enzo Minuti) and his library music, this time with a compilation of previously unreleased, tropical psychedelic instrumentals.
With its combination of relaxing bossa novas ("Island Of The Sun"), wildly esoteric pieces ("The Black Snake Voodoo"; "Ayahuasca") and mystically exotic atmospheres à la Eden Ahbez ("Psychedelic Plants"; "The Hidden Caves"), the album unfolds track after track into a wonderful discovery – an island that is indeed magnetic, full of vibrant charm and with an ecstatic vibe all of its own; a true little gem that for too long remained hidden in the vast ocean of forgotten music.
