The spirit of the West is alive and well in the music of Venice, CA-based roots music collective. Their much anticipated new full length "Carry Me Home" is a celebration of American folk traditions, bringing together their obsessions with gospel, bluegrass, gut-bucket blues and New Orleans swing into a striking and potently fresh LP. Recorded over six months at Crown City Studios Pasadena (Eric Lilavois) with twenty seven members of their LA consortium of musicians - the record perfectly captures the group's upbeat message, curating the rich roots sounds of the past and galvanizing it for a brash, get-up-and-dance future.
