Joya Mooi - What's Around The Corner (2023)

In 2022 Joya Mooi released her new album, What's Around The Corner, on which she delves deeper into life's big and small matters. On the self-reflective album, she addresses themes of spirituality, personal growth, social awareness and interpersonal connection and includes the earlier released singles Did Enough and Roselle. For the album, which will be released in two parts, she collaborated with Sim Fane, Elijah Waters and SirOJ, among others. 30 September sees the release of Side A, the first part of What's Around The Corner, is completed by part two in 2023.

By combining her South African roots with the Amsterdam characteristics of her native soil, Mooi brings an innovative R&B that combines jazz, trap, pop and hip-hop influences into an organic sound. With her unique voice and dreamy productions, Mooi takes you into her world–a world where ideals are steadfast, identity and spirituality go hand in hand, and happiness and beauty are never far away.
