Gianmario Liuni began his jazz piano studies at the age of 15. At a young age he had dedicated himself to the study of guitar, music theory and harmony, with Maestro Mario Trama.
He attended for several years, the courses of Maestro Arrigo Cappelletti at the CDM in Milan. He participates in the summer seminars of Siena Jazz, following piano classes (M ° Franco D'Andrea), ensemble music (M ° Stefano Battaglia) and harmony. He perfects his piano technique and classical repertoire with the pianist Barbara Tripodi. He studied at the CPM in Milan with Maestro Franco D'Andrea where he obtained with full marks, in 1998, the internal diploma of the "Professional course of specialization in Jazz piano". He devoted himself to studies of harmony, arrangement and composition with Maestro Umberto Fusco. For a few years until 2010 he expanded his classical repertoire and deepened his compositional techniques with M° Marco Iannelli (pianist, musicologist and conductor).
