Folkatomik - Polaris (2022)

The album that marks the debut of a new project for the rediscovery of traditional Italian music. Folkatomik, a Turin band formed in Turin in 2019, starts from the experience gained in the world of the revival of traditional music by Franco Montanaro, Oreste Forestieri and Valeria Quarta, and from the meeting with the guitarist and electronic music producer Li Bassi. synthesis of the experiences and stories that everyone brought with them, a unique and recognizable sound was born immediately, attributable to the mixture of traditional southern music and electronic avant-garde.
