FØR - Tender Seas (2023) Hi-Res

FØR is a guitar/cello folk duo. After first meeting in April 2018, Nico and Anna Louise built upon their common influences, from artists such as Damien Rice, Nick Drake and Radiohead, to yield a delicate and intimate folk sound and create the essence of FØR. Each song is an emotional roller-coaster, yet a slow and gentle one, almost like a summer breeze.

Here comes FØR which is a musical discovery ready to make the cottages cry. This is a Parisian folk duo made up of Nico and Anna Louise who combine guitar and cello in the most beautiful way and this fits perfectly on their first long-format titled Tender Seas.

Composed of nine titles, FØR continues its momentum with this enchanting musical universe. And we are right in it with "Swan" which opens the ball before the duo amazes us with moving refrains like "Amber Moon" and "Halcyon" where the guitar and the cello respond with harmony.

With Tender Seas, the Parisian formation perfectly defines their musical world marvelously. A world that provides many chills listening to “Dreams” and “Confined” which deserve their share of attention before marveling us with “Underneath” and “Undisclosed Fantasies (II)” as a graceful closing. FØR succeeds hands down the exercise of the first album with a sincerity of the most touching.
