On my left, I have Yan Wagner, who needs no introduction these days because he left his mark on the music scene with some memorable releases. On my right, I have La Mverte who is a DJ who has made his mark on French techno. Together, they form a long-awaited superduo called TASTE, of which here is the first EP on the occasion.
It only takes five tracks for TASTE to have a huge impact on the scene. Dividing between synthpop, industrial krautrock and gothic disco, the superduo lets their undeniable chemistry speak on incendiary tracks like “Shame Game” and “Gumball Gary”. Yan Wagner and La Mverte really make the pair with this flood of sensations which gives exceptional moments like “Bang Bang Bang” and “Day Of The Low Cost” as a feverish closing. A most successful first attempt showing a TASTE that did not shy away from it.
