Matt Popp - Rise (2023)

Matt was born in an average town in Connecticut. That town had a history of agriculture, and his family had a history of music, and those two things would become anything but average to a boy who learned to love the land and express himself with song.

When his mother made him join the church choir at 8 years old , Matt didn't know that it would shape the path for the rest of his life. But he did learn right away that he loved singing, more than anything. And when his dad gave him that first guitar at 13, Matt started playing all those rock and classic country tunes he had heard growing up. But it wasn't until college, when he had fallen for the modern country feel and started writing his own songs that Matt realized what he wanted to do was play those songs and try to give people the same feeling he had when singing them.
