Beth Amin, Yaniel Matos and Álvaro Faleiros - Valsa no Tempo (2023) [Hi-Res]

The vocal trainer of the USP Choir (Coralusp) Beth Amin and the poet and professor of the Department of Modern Letters at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH) Álvaro Faleiros will launch on digital platforms, on March 14th, the album Waltz in Time. The partnership between the two – which has already occurred in previous works – also includes the Cuban musician Yaniel Matos.

The disc's repertoire consists of ten poems by Faleiros in Beth's voice. Along the tracks, Brazilian popular music mixes with some traditional rhythms, such as waltz and bolero. Each of the songs reflects on time and its passage. “It is a result of reflections that we had during the pandemic. It talks a lot about the relativity of time, love, storm, change and impermanence”, says Beth Amin.
