"Who Do You Have To Know" is a blend of originals, jazz standards, and quirqy tunes/arrangements that don't get heard enough. The record oozes soulfulness and drive. The two ballad like tunes are liquid in nature, giving the listener a chance to sink into his/her couch and forget the stress of the day.

The album was recorded in Rochester New York w/musicians from different parts of the country whom I regularly work with in various settings and venues. Bobby Floyd and I have played 5 out of 10 Jazz Cruises from 2010 to 2020, Switzerland's Marian's Jazz room 4x's in the same period, festivals and concerts all over the US, etc..Corey and I have worked Jazz festivals in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas and he's been a favorite of mine for years. Peter, the bassist, and I have worked many trio to big band gigs in western New York over the past 20 years. He was a natural choice on this date. We recorded for 3 days in August of 2022 and had a blast putting this project together.
