Atomic Rooster are a British rock band originally formed by members of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, organist Vincent Crane and drummer Carl Palmer. Throughout their history, keyboardist Vincent Crane was the only constant member and wrote the majority of their material. Their history is defined by two periods: the early-mid-1970s and the early 1980s. The band went through radical style changes, but they are best known for the hard, progressive rock sound of their hit singles, "Tomorrow Night" (UK No. 11) and "Devil's Answer" (UK No. 4), both in 1971.

In 2016 Atomic Rooster reformed with permission from Crane's widow, with the new line-up featuring two members from the various 1970s incarnations of the band.

This is a release by the legendary powerhouse trio of JOHN DU CANN,VINCENT CRANE and PAUL HAMMOND aka ATOMIC ROOSTER and this 3CD release draws tracks from the commercially successful period of 1970 to 1972 and the reformation in 1979 t0 1982. Commercial success hit the band in 1970 after John Du Cann joined as singer/songwriter/guitarist as he came from a background in legendary heavy psych (ANDROMEDA) and he played in style similar to Ritchie Blackmore though with more aggression and feel.Hit singles followed with Tomorrow Night and Devils Answer . This version of the band split in 1972 but reformed in 1979 where after releasing singles on Polydor they spent nearly 9 months recording an album which the label then passed on and is released on CD3 of this box set.All tracks on this 3CD set were mastered under the watchful eye of the late John Du Cann from masters supplied from his archives.
