This is a new ep composed by Wataru Sato, who has energetically been creating post-classical and electronic titles, and is also the leader of Gecko&Tokage Parade which is known as a new star of modern-jazz scene in Japan.
This new title, released after about one year from the previous album "Fading spaces," collect various pieces which make him face the past of his work; including "The Other Land"(from album "After World") performed with Ai Kamano ,the vocalist on the concert last year and the reinterpretation of "Innocence", his beloved piano piece also covered by Gecko&Tokage Parade(his own band),Karen Aoki, famous Japanese jazz singer and so on.
The pieces are not only nostalgic but also experimental and ambitious.
This EP also includes new piano solo pieces of his favor "Raven" and "PastⅡ," ambient and minimal piece "Wall" based on a deep synth sequence, a new piece "Disappear" premiered last year in trio format( Pf, Vln, Vc ) performance.
As well, in composition and recording of this work, he intendedly shifts the pianos, the place and time, by which the sound of each piece becomes prominent but the whole work keeps both anacatesthesia and unity.
