Everyday Dust - Witching Hour Lineman (2023)

Witching Hour Lineman is essentially a collection of lost ED works that have found their way to becoming an album by a less conventional path. Early versions of these tracks were recorded at various times and places between 2015 and 2020 but were never completed for various reasons.

In late 2021 ED was taking stock of older recordings and assembled these tracks together after realising from the time stamps on the files that they had all been created deep into the wee small hours of 3am and beyond. A theme had presented itself inadvertently.

The set was shown to Woodford Halse who could hear an album forming. Inspired by this ED did some additional overdubs and editing to pull this curious collection of works into a more coherent album.

Witching Hour Lineman harks back to the melancholia and organistic structures of early ED albums but with the tape weathered synthesizer sequences and ethereal woodwinds familiar to his recent releases.
