Silhouette in Red is one of Bonnie Tyler's most successful albums, which received numerous music awards and was certified gold and platinum in several European countries. The music producer of the album is Dieter Bohlen, who wrote songs for the record under the pseudonym Steve Benson and Jennifer Blake for the first time. It was officially released in Europe in 1993 and only in CD and cassette format, and a year later in Japan and Brazil. It was not released in Great Britain.
Silhouette in Red is Bonnie Tyler's tenth studio album; and his third (last) album on the Hansa (BMG) label. After the contract expired, Warner took care of his next two records, and these included a significant change in style.
