Rising singer-songwriter Gigi Perez unveils her debut EP How To Catch A Falling Knife via Mogul Vision/Interscope Records/Polydor. The EP arrives with the cinematic music video for ‘Kill For You’ directed by ‘Sally’ video director Leaf Lieber.

Written and produced alongside Jennifer Decilveo (Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, FLETCHER), Aidan Hobbs, and Mike Zara, with production by Jake Weinberg on ‘Sally’, How To Catch A Falling Knife showcases Gigi’s aptitude for lyricism and dedication to unwavering vulnerability.

“‘How To Catch A Falling Knife’ is not a guide but a question,” Perez shares. “How do you? Here you will find eight songs that resemble eight chapters of my life. Following the loss of my oldest sister and the ending of my first love, I grasp to understand yearning, anguish, ruminating, sleeplessness, malaise, yearning, rinse repeat. Where did I go Wrong? And How Can I Never Make That Mistake Again?”

Raised in Florida and now based in Brooklyn, Gigi recently provided direct support for d4vd on the The Root of it All tour. Prior to opening for d4vd, she joined Noah Cyrus on The Hardest Part tour this past fall. Gigi broke through in early 2021 after sharing her track ‘Sometimes (Backwood)’ on TikTok. The track hit #1 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral chart and has now surpassed 82 million streams. Catch gigi live in London later this summer, where she’ll be supporting Haim at All Points East in August.
