Live Killers is the first concert album of the British rock group Queen (and their eighth LP in a row). The recordings were made on the "Jazz Tour" following the release of the 1978 Jazz album, at several concerts, between January 26 and March 1, 1979. It was received negatively by fans due to poor mixing quality, but it achieved considerable success in England. It sold over a million copies in America.

Already after the successful 1974 concert at the Rainbow Theater in London, it was planned to release a live album, but for unknown reasons it could only be done then - according to assumptions, only because there were no plans to release another live album and the label wanted a new album from the ensemble. The backbone of the material is the European concerts of the Jazz Tour following the Jazz album. The members did the music editing themselves at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland. The album was released on June 26, 1979 and reached number 3 in the UK and number 16 in the US. Later, Roger Taylor and Brian May revealed on a radio show that they were not satisfied with the final mixing of the material, because although the concerts went very well, the songs heard on the tape became simply boring.

At the time of its release, even the fans blamed the publication for many faults: among others, the low sound quality, or, for example, the fact that Bohemian Rhapsody was also included, even though part of it - as usual - was played from a recording at the concert. The band members also acknowledged the shortcomings of the mixing quality.

This 2003 release is the material from the 2001 Japanese remaster; (allegedly) made from the original master tapes (but unfortunately, on the second disc, the fade-out between tracks is present in the same way as it was on the original vinyl - this is exactly the beginning and end of the song Spread Your Wings)

According to analysts, not only were the songs recorded in different locations (there are 6 European cities...), but also the individual songs are assembled from many "mosaic pieces".
