The music of LYRIC ECHOES has a lot of space and gives proof of a truly tasteful timing and a very nice approach to the melodic lines – beautiful and inspiring, I really like it! NILS PETTER MOLVAER

Daniel Strässler is a brilliant, visionary composer. With "When Things Fall Apart" he has created another magical album that inspires through and through - a masterpiece! HARALD HAERTER

Exciting solo project by Daniel Strässler with a focus on space and the space the music moves in. Beautiful sentimental, floating sounds with dripping guitar and airy trumpet from Nils Petter Molvær himself gives us a complex and beautiful soundscape. Music to air and lift your head.
- Herman Østby - RADIO REVOLT

For the new album (EP) of LYRIC ECHOES (solo project of the Zurich guitarist, composer and sound artist, Daniel Strässler) "When Things Fall Apart" Daniel Strässler could again inspire the famous trumpeter, NILS PETTER MOLVAER and the legendary guitarist, HARALD HAERTER for a collaboration!
Nils Petter Molvaer, who could already be heard on the debut album of LYRIC ECHOES "Beautiful Things Don't Ask For Attention", can be heard on the new LYRIC ECHOES - album "When Things Fall Apart" on 2 songs with his unmistakable playing style: On the driving title track When Things Fall Apart and on the lyrical Spheres II (Remix). Harald Haerter who has worked with the most famous jazz musicians such as John Scofield, Joey Baron, John Zorn, Michael Brecker, Eric Truffaz, Dewey Redman and many more can also be heard on Spheres II. With his unmistakable phrasing, Harald Haerter manages with just a few notes to expand this song's timbres in such a way that the already varied mood takes on a new spherical depth dimension. On the playful Shifting Spheres Harald Haerter proves that he has lost none of his grandiose virtuosity and extravagant playing style. After 15 years, these recordings are the first artistic sign of life of Harald Haerter, and should be the prelude to further musical activities, which we can all be very excited about.
The album "When Things Fall Apart" inspires with its playful longer songs, which reach out into numerous musical genres. Elements from opposing styles, such as classical, rock, pop and electronic music, are combined in an organic way, as if there were no genre boundaries. Harmonically filigree arranged sections merge seamlessly into brute dark sound worlds. As a listener you are exposed to a roller coaster of emotions, you are almost hypnotized and experience an adventurous journey into the far away world of LYRIC ECHOES, which you never want to leave!
