Salesvuo Syncopation - The Complete Loft Sessions (2023)

The new domestic jazz group, Salesvuo Syncopation, trusts in the traditional expressive power of acoustic jazz music and supports a strong swing!
The ensemble, which performs Tomi Salesvuo's new compositions as well as fresh jazz arrangements of the classics of domestic music, is assembled from musician friends who have a background from numerous different connections over the years. The musicians' joyous playing experiences together have been inspiring ever since the days of their studies at the Sibelius Academy! The line-up includes the tops of the domestic jazz scene Petri Puolitaival saxophone, Mikko Helevä Hammond Hammond organ and Tomi Salesvuo drums.
The Loft Sessions EPs (Eclipse Music) Vol. 1 (EP) published by the group have offered listeners a taste of the sound and swing of the first album. Loft Sessions Vol. 2, published in November, offers listeners Tomi Salesvuo's compositions arranged by a trio. The EP opens with a fast Samba "Opener Drag" which features the band's tight and intense expression, smooth flight! Salesvuo's East Funk Attack band's classic "Mr. Prince" now gets a new interpretation when the Jazztrio takes the composition to its original New Orleans spirit into the bursting and fiery Creole kitchen! The beautiful ballad "Picture This" creates a photo-like, beautiful and sensitive moment that is captured in the listener's eyes accompanied by the soft interpretation of the trio.
Tampere-based Eclipse Music in cooperation with Musiikkisato Oy is responsible for the releases of the band's production and the first album.
