MENGAMO celebrates the untamed: electronic soundscapes, progressive rock borrowings and energetic free fusion play testify to the broad sonic spectrum of Hammond organist Sebastian Scobel, drummer Thomas Sauerborn and Philipp Brämswig on guitar. With the same love for opulent sound as for catchy songs, the trio, founded in 2012 and formed not least through performances in the legendary Cologne underground club "Stecken", is captivating.

MENGAMO plays with the familiar, reminiscent of times when guitar solos never lasted less than five minutes and singer-songwriters shared the festival mike with free jazzers and funk greats.
