Letta - Testimony (2015)

Letta bounces up from Arizona via Skid Row, LA with a crystalline debut album of instrumental grime and strung-out R&B samples. The latest signing to Coyote Records comes full formed with a full album of sharply defined ideas working as a cohesive package rather than a collection of outright bangers. As proved with the shape-shifting figures of 'Do U Ever See' or 'In Black', he's got a smart knack for song-crafted arrangement, whilst the hyaline dimensions of 'Ghosts' feels like Arca gone Eski and 'North Face' comes off like a forlorn Mssingno.
