Opener 'Forward' may still be a bit mysterious, but in 'When You Go' Timo de Jong really comes loose. His warm voice at times resembles Frank Sinatra's way of singing, something that emerges in 'Heart At Rest'.
The variation between the songs is great, partly due to the interpretation by the musicians, without the whole being lost. 'Big Gray Boxers' comes with a completely different swing than 'Unparalleled' without feeling strange. It is also clear that the musicians who provide a beautiful, subtle basis can play in such a way that all the honor and eyes go to Timo de Jong himself. The 'Cordyceps', reminiscent of the twilight days of Johnny Cash, also underlines that.
