One of the world's premier surf and instrumental rock combos, their fourth full-length studio album is their best yet with stunning guitar work - features songwriting collaborations with members of The Atlantics, The TomorrowMen and the Aqualads.

The Madeira plays surf music born of screaming wind over the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert, deafening echoes of waves pounding the Gibraltar Rock, joyous late-night gypsy dances in the small towns of Andalucia, and exotic cacophony of the Marrakesh town square. It is the surf music of the millennia-old Mediterranean mysteries.

Led by guitarist Ivan Pongracic of the legendary Space Cossacks, this great band has put out four full-length CD’s, a live CD and a CD-EP on Double Crown Records. The band continues to play live, having played at the Surf Guitar 101 Convention in California and the Surfer Joe Festival in Italy.

Their previous studio CD, Tribal Fires, was named as the runner-up in Pipeline Instrumental Review's "Album Of The Year" awards for 2012.

Ancient Winds is their best work to date, featuring 12 original songs as well as a cover of The Atlantics' "Coral Island". Several of the songs were collaborations with some of the premier guitarists and songwriters of the last 50 years, including Jim Skiathitis of The Atlantics, Danny Snyder of The TomorrowMen, Jeremy Dehart of the Aqualads and Alex Faide of Los Kahunas. Original cover art was created by Lorraine Schleter and CD layout by Ferenc Dobronyi.
