MANA - Mana (1992)

Born Sept, 8, 1974. Started music at the age of 15. Fluent in Japanese and English (Scottish-American mother and a Japanese father). Debuted with VAP in 1992 under the name MANA and released 7 hit singles along with 1 self-titled album "MANA" (VPCB-80466). In 1994 she signed with Polystar and released 3 singles and 1 album titled "Stories" (PSCR-5362) under the name Mana Hasegawa.

I couldn't expect anything from the plain jacket and the atmosphere where you can't tell if it's Japanese, but when I started listening to it for the first time. I was overwhelmed by the mixture of positive lyrics, catchy melody, and wonderful singing ability. This is the first time since Megumi Hirota that I felt such a shock at first hearing.
