This album is dedicated to María Antonia Vallejo Fernández (1751- 1787), called "La Caramba", a famous Spanish actress and singer. It is likely that her stage name comes from her exclamation "Caramba, Caramba!" from a tonadilla, a short satirical musical comedy popular in 18th century Spain. Caramba was also the name of María Antonia's extravagant hairstyle, which became a symbol of women's fashion at the time. The role of María Antonia is embodied by María Hinojosa, and her music brings Forma Antiqva to lusty life.
