Ohad Slavin - Yesodot (2023)

Ohad Slavin's music is psychedelic, adventurous and full of musicality. Born in Jerusalem, Ohad began exploring music and sounds at the age of 15, listening to country, rock, classical and electronic genres. His influences come from many cultures and genres, as his goal has always been to create something in between worlds. At the age of 18, Ohad started to create music for the first time and progressed further into the world of experimental electronic music. He uses South American folk samples and instruments, African percussion, sitar and synthesizers that come together in a very natural and unforced way.

The result is an ever-flowing range of harmonies, polyrhythms and interweaving melodies. Throughout his musical journey, Ohad has always tried to break the normal boundaries and combinations of sounds in modern electronic music, creating a magical variation of styles.

In this release, Yesodot ("elements" in Hebrew) is an exploration journey of soundscapes and theatrical music that breaks rules. Outstanding is the guest opera singer Gayane Sahakyan from Armenia in the track Adama.

This is the first time Fertil Discos launches a release from a non latin-american artist.
