Jack McDuff - The Heatin' System (2007 Japan Edition)

Not to be confused with the later recorded version with different band members, compositions, etc. released in 1994 on CD.. Wow.. Well, this extremely rare LP from Jack McDuff at his absolute prime was a part of his sessions recorded for Cadet. It's very sophisticated, it's without a doubt soulful, it's rather funky and it's all around an excellent set! The title song kicks it off and as it progresses at about 1/3 through is when it gets deep! There are solos from all of the personnel featured on this album and they do a damned good job of cleanin' house. It was recorded at Ter-Mar in Chicago and the world famous Hit Factory in New York City!
