There are major themes that Enjott Schneider devotes himself to in his compositions: And so the works recorded here are ultimately about nothing less than the existence of the individual and the community... Anton Bruckner's Symphony in C minor forms the template for a four-movement cycle in which the topos "Through night to light" takes shape: out of the gradually lightening darkness of earthly oppression, at the end the chorale "Wachet auf, fuft uns die Stimme" shines like a shining star. Also In Mozart's Rewuiem, the movement peppered by Zotatel from the Requiem Mass virtually dramatizes itself, seeking salvation from the abyss of time with the extinction of the fragmentary "Lacrimosa." The organ system with 144 registers on four instruments, distributed throughout the Freiburg Cathedral provides the necessary constants for these tone paintings, which Jürgen Geiger knows how to use with virtuosity ...
