Los Aurora - Aurora (2017)

<< Aurora is the movement of people through the corridors of the "school" Taller de Músics, where those who naturally scent creative risk are able to come to an agreement with a simple knowing nod and say "Let's go for it". Aurora is, from my point of view, the profound and indestructible DNA of the Taller de Músics, the house where transversality is not a decision but rather an inbuilt characteristic: different angles of the same reality tear apart cliches and weave not the sum of the angles, but another new angle. Aurora, to use more musicological terms, is based on three cornerstones which flow around each other naturally, a commitment to contemporary creation, wide-ranging both in the harmonic as well as in the formal design of pieces; the language of jazz as a tacitly agreed functional tool and linguistic code; and lastly the world of flamenco cante as a route for exploring pioneering new territory. >>By Enric Palomar, artistic director at Taller de Músics, 2017.
