Ballads features K-Ci & JoJo's three biggest hits: "All My Life" (a number one Hot 100 hit), "Tell Me It's Real" (number two), and "Crazy" (number 11). Those three songs, as well as four others, overlap with the selections on 20th Century Masters - Millennium Collection: The Best of K-Ci & JoJo, released in 2006. As with most of the other volumes in the Universal-distributed Ballads series, there are several deep album cuts, and some significant hits - in this case, the duo's Top 20 cover of Bobby Womack's "If You Think You're Lonely Now" - are left off. The 20th Century Masters set, Icon, and Icon 2 (the latter two of which feature the duo's hits with Jodeci) provide better summaries of the duo's output.
