Mikko H. Haapoja - Unheard Landscapes (2023)

Since 2010, Haapoja has field recorded Nordic & equatorial nature and several cities like Istanbul, New York, Tokyo, Helsinki, Bamako, Hongkong and Bangkok. By mixing multiple sonic environments together, Haapoja now creates unheard worlds. In his solo album Unheard Landscapes, Finnish traditional bowed lyres (jouhikko), cello and kantele, alongside electronic beats, connect this sonic mixture to the living tradition of ours.

In September 2023, Unheard Landscapes was nominated to TOP20 (# 16) on WMCE world music album charts.
