Based in Northampton, Freya Rose found her feet performing solo, with a focus on her brutal songwriting, as evidenced in her debut EP Sadhead - a collection of home recordings released in 2021 exploring her reality of growing up in a tumultuous household with seemingly no way out, and learning to navigate life as a 'Sadhead' who feels everything too deeply. Now, Freya performs with her band to back her heart-breaking lyrics with lush soundscapes that are sure to leave you feeling introspective.

With a sound that ranges from gentle acoustic folk to wistful bedroom pop and indie rock, Freya’s debut album 'Girlhood' - releasing October 20th 2023 - promises to deliver a captivating introduction to the young artist who is already receiving recognition from the likes of BBC Introducing, Truck Festival, and Northampton’s finest modern indie export, Sarpa Salpa.
