Fabien Ghirotto Quartet - Shades (2023)

The Fabien Ghirotto Quartet draws on various influences ranging from the second quintet of Miles Davis to the more contemporary developments of the new New York generation (Ambrose Akinmusire, Immanuel Wilkins).

The compositions are designed to leave significant room for improvisation. The musicians of the quartet can then express their creativity in eclectic arrangements, sometimes intimate, sometimes abundant.

The presence of the bass clarinet in the ensemble creates numerous timbre possibilities and helps reinforce the sound palette of the ensemble to offer a singular sound.
