Energetic indie dance/synthwave combo Midnight Machine, consists of Hanne Kolstø and Sigurd Thomassen. Both famed innovators on the Norwegian indie music scene. Together they create something fresh and more pop-oriented, with styles also hinting to the soundtracks of Drive, Stranger Things and Hotline Miami.

Hanne Kolstø is a four time Spellemann award nominee and has released 8 critically acclaimed solo albums. Sigurd Thomassen is a sought-after producer and remixer, while also a member of the inventive band Pow Pow which has been praised in outlets such as Pitchfork and Mojo.

In addition to the lively synth-based dance tunes, Good Morning, Midnight also includes a couple of more moody and mellow numbers, made for dusk, nightly drives and dim bars. Still, the album as a whole is characterized by a neon-drenched production.

During the duo’s short existence, they have had songs listed on NRK P3 and P13 and have had frequent airplay on several BBC Radio channels. Either you’re out driving or at a party, Midnight Machine gives you the nostalgic feeling of a fuzzy radio. The music is retro, yet futuristic, as a VHS in widescreen.
