The Art of Doing Nothing is Mark Owen's fourth solo album and his first since Take That's phenomenally successful 2006 reunion led to three platinum-selling albums for the band in a four-year period. Recorded in the main within Owen's home studio, this release betrays a more electronic slant to the production than 2005's How the Mighty Fall. The euphoric single "Stars" is included here, as is "S.A.D.," a collaboration with the Salford-born artist Ren Harvieu, who received acclaim for her 2012 album, Through the Night.
