Boulou Ferre, Elios Ferre - Fathers & sons (2023)

Heirs to a family of guitarists who were Django Reinhardt's traveling companions and distinguished themselves in the 30s and 40s as the creators of the swing waltz, Boulou & Elios Ferré decided to pay tribute to their father Matelo and their uncles , Baro and Sarane. By revisiting some of Baro's favorite pieces, combined with previously unreleased pieces and personal compositions, Matelo's sons celebrate a unique musical heritage and a story that has become legendary. A journey to the land of the waltz in the form of a resolutely colorful, baroque, shimmering bouquet, like the inimitable “gypsy” touch of the Ferré brothers.

Ludovic Beier on accordion and accordina and Stéphane Belmondo on flugelhorn, long-time partners of the two brothers, come to mingle symbolically by bringing a touch of this irreducible jazz which made them blossom.
