Matilde Cid - Desassossego (2023) [Hi-Res]

Matilde Cid stands out from the crowd by the way she sings: a strong, charismatic woman, with an immense joy when she’s on stage. Growing up in a family of musicians, in Estremoz, Alentejo, Matilde Cid soon realizes that Fado, which has always been present in her life, become her great passion. In 2016 she performed her first solo concert at CCB- Centro Cultural de Belém and it was a huge success. Matilde Cid’s voice, sweet and melodic, sings this typical Lisbon song in a very particular and different way, as a result of all the musical influences she has gained throughout her life. In her short journey she already had the opportunity of sharing the stage with great singers and musicians. Her first album – “Puro” (“Pure”) labeled by Museu do Fado – was released on September 2019 and was nominated for “Best Fado Record” in the 2020 edition of the Vodafone PLAY – Portuguese Music Awards
