Tetrad quartet - Even Odds (2023) [Hi-Res]

TETRAD was formed, at the end of 2021, by the spontaneous meeting of four musicians from different backgrounds, who immediately focused their work on the shared creation of an entirely original repertoire. The quartet is composed of Gianluca Manfredonia (vibraphone), Armando Iacovella (guitar), Alessandro Del Signore (double bass), and Alessandro Forte (drums). The group is named after a concept that ranges from geometry to philosophy, inevitably intersecting with the musical world. A tetrahedron where each face is represented by the unique contribution of the individual musicians brought together in a project characterized by original compositions, in which writing and improvisation alternate naturally. The pieces proposed by the ensemble, while maintaining a common influence deriving from the passion for jazz and its various forms, are children of the musical fluidity that characterizes the contemporary world, where there are no univocally definable genres, but a single flow that is affected by the listening and of the individual experiences of the musicians who compose it. A project that expresses in its entirety the coexistence between different and opposite elements which, mixed in the musical discourse, merge into a single sound. In this year of activity, they took over the live participation of the ensemble in the JazzFlirt Festival, in summer 2022 and ThinkJazz Spring in spring 2023. The band is about to release its first album, entitled 'Even Odds', which will be released in autumn 2023 with the label Filibusta Records.
