Irakere - Grupo Irakere (2011)

Grupo Irakere are one of Cuba's most influential acts. Formed in 1973, they blended traditional Cuban music with jazz, funk and rock. This self-titled album was originally released in 1976 and is known for the dancefloor classic 'Chequere-Son' as well as being perhaps the best example of their electrifying Afro-Cuban jazz sound.
