Inspirations for the album include: Willie Nelson, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Old Crow Medicine Show, T Bone Burnett, Johnny Cash & June Carter, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, Diana Krall, and Gin Wigmore. Instrumentation includes: acoustic & slide guitar; bass; soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone ukulele; tenor banjo; mandolin; glockenspiel; melodica; and percussion.
