Sandalwood - worn out joy (2024) [Hi-Res]

sandalwood is the solo folk project of Nicholas LaDue (they/she), half of the indie psych folk band, goodtree.

Her second album, worn out joy, will debut on January 19, 2024. Reuniting with collaborator Gonzo, Nicholas expands the sandalwood family and sound with John Lisi on upright bass / bowed bass, Gonzo on drums, Hyer contributing slide guitar, and other friends to provide backing vocals & clarinet. This new collection of songs is Nicholas at her most vulnerable, chronicling her psyche from a year of heartbreak, dissociation, and loss. While therapeutic and personal by nature, these songs still hope to capture a universal feeling of self-reflection and rebirth— to grow anew from loss.
