The first ever Festival de la Musica took place at the Intersection Lounge in Grand Rapids, MI on September 6, 2006. A great collection of bands including The Steepwater Band, Ozenza and the Bluzers playing throughout the evening on two stages all leading up to a hot closing set by your favorite group of Michiganders, The Rockit King. Luckily, for those who weren't there it was captured for posterity on ADAT's by producers Al McAvoy and Joel Ferguson and on DVM (5 Cameras!) by Director David Fix. And so Double L!ve stands as a testament not only to how long TRK have been together (2001) but also to how long they've been kicking some royal Rock 'N' Roll behind.
