“Thank you, Tom Jobim!” features an international delegation of esteemed Jazz musicians (such as Benny Golson, Joanne Brackeen, Nigel Clark, T.K. Blue, and others) paying tribute to Tom Jobim in a fifth edition of the beautiful “Thank You” Series. Renowned artists, as well as highly acclaimed new talents, put a fresh spin on Tom Jobim’s melodies, while four artists created their own memorable original compositions that were deeply inspired by Jobim’s timeless music.

This beautiful tribute features the compositions of Bossa Nova originator & music icon Antoinio Carlos Jobim, joined by an international delegation of Jazz giants to recreate his classic melodies in this beautiful, concert-length “Thank You.” Composer of countless unforgettable songs, including Girl From Ipanema, Tom Jobim virtually single handedly brought the world Bossa Nova music.

With over 400 songs to his credit, Jobim lead the Bossa Nova movement, where it became a staple ingredient in the Jazz cookbook. Jobim’s new sound adapted the rhythmic variety and percussive excitement of the Samba to the intimacy of syncopated guitar, while echoing the melodies and harmonies of Cool Jazz.
