At the head of a breathtaking jazz orchestra, Christophe Dal Sasso revisits Le Carnaval des animaux by Camille Saint-Saëns. With the exception of a few pieces (The Swan, Aquarium), it is humor and lightness, perhaps even mockery and irony that characterizes this work. Under the fertile pen of one of the greatest French jazz orchestrators and arranger, the text of the 14 movements remains faithful to the original. The work of arrangement and re-orchestration open up improvisation tracks for exceptional soloists such as David El Malek, Sophie Alour, Thomas Savy, Pierre de Bethmann or Julien Alour. This adaptation nevertheless gives a more moving and even introspective character to certain pieces. The rhythmic piano, double bass, drums plunges us into a whirlwind of swing where all the animals dance joyfully. How joyful! How beautiful Le Carnajazz des Animaux!
